Best Way to Clean Faux Wood Blinds Indianapolis

Faux wood window shutters are a magnet to dust and grimes but they can be cleaned in a jiffy. Here’s quick advice: if you have just shifted to a new residence in Indianapolis, and if there are window blinds, do clean them before settling in.
Here’s how you can clean faux wood shutters and windowblinds in Indianapolis:
While it may look tedious to clean the blinds, the task is simple. Faux wood blinds are made out of PVC material or composite wood and therefore, all you need are micro-fiber duster or a feather cleaner, a vacuum cleaner, warm water, and detergent solution, and a sponge wipe.
Step 1: Dust once in a week to reduce dirt accumulation. You can use a feather duster or a microfiber fabric to do the job. Do not wipe with a wet cloth without dusting the surface dry or else you can create permanent stains.
Step 2: Remove dust from the window blinds using a vacuum cleaner. Use a vacuum brush attached to the hose. Suck up as much dust as possible to reduce the workload. The best way to dust is to run dry sheets over the slats in one direction.
Don’t forget to flip the shutter around in the opposite direction and clean your way down. Clean the window sill as well.
Step 3: Dip a sponge or microfiber cloth in a mixture of mild detergent and warm water to remove sticky dust and grime from the blinds. Run it over and clean both sides. Once cleaned, gently dry the shutters with a clean microfiber cloth.
Always clean from the top and work your way down. Ensure the cloth is just damp and not dripping with water. Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners to remove grime as it may discolor the paint.
